This lecture will implement the Authenticator that we outlined in the previous lecture. Our authenticator will extend an OIDC provider, and and oauth2 Config. In the upcoming lectures we’ll use this Authenticator to implement identity management functionality of our app.

In this section, we’ll create a blank project for your web application, then overview how we can implement an Auth0 Authenticator for our application to be used in our OAuth 2.0 authentication login, callback, and logout routes.

As it turns out, using pygmentize can only do so much for us and we’ll need to extend the generated HTML files. This section will update the generated HTML files and implements custom mutations using Go programming language.

In this part of the series, we’ll create a generator that reads a repository full of Go source code files, and create syntax-highlighted HTML versions of those files. In this process, Pygments Python Syntax Highlighter will do the heavy-lifting.
